this buyer either got a great deal or taken...

...check out this link from Ebay. It sounds too good to be true. What do you folks think? A great deal or a fraudulent seller?

A stupidly low Buy It Now price, from a guy with a handful of feedbacks, all from purchases, probably of ebooks for .99.

I don't know. It looks fishy...

Same image (NGC Serial Number) appears in this one:

Definitely a scam.

I tried to send the guy a note, but eBay gave me a warning that it blocks communication between members when there is no open transcaction.

Just another way eBay helps fraud.

Too bad for the buyer...wish you could have alerted him....I have had my e-bay ID stolen ....someone in Canada was listing in my e-bay name....e-bay caught it and alerted me. Lucky for me no financial damage was done, they had also tried using my credit card on file with e-bay, but the credit card co. was alerted by several charges trying to be made for .01 and .02, trying to get charges made because they were trying to guess some of the info. for the credit card charges to be approved. The best I can determine is it was thru a PHISHER e-mail, never respond directly to e-mails, always double check even if it looks real.

This same person has been scamming dozens, if not hundreds, of people on ebay. He keeps changing his location, but his listings and currency stay the same. He robs the exact details of another auction and posts them as his own. He has already gotten me. The best thing to do is report him to ebay. (Which I plan to do as soon as I submit this message.)

Sound fishy...you can ask (email) a buyer anything pertaining to an auction item.
You don't have to be a current bidder on the item to do so...

Never heard that excuse before...unless someone reported you for circumventing eBay on a past purchase...you got flagged as undesireable and untrustworthy...

:haha: :haha: :haha:

Like you would care.....

I wouldn't... :D :D :D

The scams continue...

Yeah. You're right. I made it up.

No, I think it was because it's a closed auction. I could go through it again and post a screenshot, but I don't feel like it.
